Hey Craig, hope all is well. Thought I would
write and give you an update. Our season is over. We finished 6 - 4 overall, 3 - 4 in league. We missed
the play-offs by one play. We ended up losing two games literally on the last play of each game. If we win either
one of those games, we are in. All 4 games we lost were to teams in the top 10 of the State of NV (#1, #3, #6, #10).
We lost to #6 Legacy, our rival, in OT. They scored first and kicked a PAT. We than scored and I went for
two. We ran a reverse and put the ball on the ground. We hadn't fumbled a reverse in 5 games. We ran No Huddle Double Wing the entire season. "We
never huddled one time!" I, as well as the kids, loved it. We felt that only one game did it not work to
our advantage. That game we were so physically outmatched, it wouldn't of mattered what we ran. Here
are our 2007 to 2008 comparisons:
2007 2008 1. Wins:
2
6 2. Rushing Yards
1941
3401 3. Rushing Attempts 422
488 4.
Totall Offensive Yards 2841
3803 5. Offensive TD's
13
36
Sophomore running back had 1372 yards rushing and scored 17 TD's. We had 4 players with 500+ rushing yards.
We ended the season with 31 kids on the varsity team.
We
ran the mile every Saturday, Monday and Tuesday up until the last week. It is what we do!!!! As a program
we went 20 - 8 (varsity 6 - 4, JV 6 - 3, Freshman 8 - 1)
I
have a lot of ideas for next year already. Our kids are already asking about the weight room. All of our coaches
want to thank you for introducing us to your system. WE ARE TRUE BELIEVERS! I have to guess you are going to make
a Vegas trip or two in the off-season. We would love to hook up.
Thanks coach, and please keep in touch.
